Energy Infrastructure Developer

We develop the projects that outlast us.

Kinward Energy originates, develops, and de-risks renewable and low-carbon energy projects — helping landowners, investors, and industrial companies unlock the long-term value of their land and infrastructure. From solar, wind, and storage to green hydrogen and Power-to-X, we take a project from the first conversation all the way through to Ready-to-Build.

Renewable power  ·  Storage  ·  Industrial energy transition  ·  Hydrogen & Power-to-X

Land, capital, a buyer for the power — or an industrial asset with a second life. Start where you fit.
What we develop

We develop what the site can actually carry.

We are technology-independent by design. We select what the resource, the grid, the infrastructure, and the offtake will genuinely support at a given site — from utility-scale renewables and storage to the industrial energy transition, green hydrogen, and Power-to-X.

Utility-scale solar array at sunrise

Solar

Utility-scale PV, from greenfield origination through land control and interconnection.

Battery energy storage containers beside a solar array

Storage

Standalone and co-located BESS, sized against real dispatch and revenue cases.

Wind turbines along a forested ridge

Wind

Onshore wind where the resource, the terrain, and the transmission all line up.

Fuel cell and equipment enclosure at dusk

On-site power

Fuel cells, hybrids, and firm generation for loads that cannot wait on the queue.

Industrial energy transition

New energy on existing sites.

For industrial and energy companies, we develop renewable and low-carbon power on the land and infrastructure you already hold — cutting emissions, improving energy resilience, and giving underused assets a productive second life.

Hydrogen & Power-to-X

Molecules, where the economics work.

Green and low-carbon hydrogen, renewable fuels, and Power-to-X — developed where the electricity, infrastructure, feedstock, and offtake genuinely line up. Built on hands-on delivery, including a 100 MW green-hydrogen project at the Port of Rotterdam.

How we develop

Origination to Ready-to-Build.

Development is where projects are won or lost. Each stage below is a gate. We do not spend the next dollar until the last question is answered.

Stage 01

Origination

Screening land, resource, and grid together, before anyone signs anything.

Stage 02

Technical screening

Resource modelling, constraint mapping, and an early read on what the site can carry.

Stage 03

Land control

Options and leases negotiated in plain language, with terms the owner can live with.

Stage 04

Interconnection

Queue strategy, study management, and honest cost exposure. The stage that kills projects.

Stage 05

Environmental & permitting

Studies, agency coordination, and community engagement that starts early, not late.

Stage 06

Ready-to-Build

A package a lender, an EPC, or an acquirer can underwrite without re-doing the work.

Where we are. Kinward is actively originating and screening sites, and building land positions. We do not publish a project list yet. As projects mature they will be tracked in Bisnexplore, our decision platform, where landowners and partners can follow them stage by stage. Until then, judge us on the process and on the track record below.

Data center power

Everything else is solvable. Power is not.

Land, capital, and construction can be compressed. An interconnection queue cannot. We develop and structure the generation that gets a load energized, whether on-site, co-located, or grid-connected.

  • Interconnection strategy and realistic energization timing
  • On-site and behind-the-meter generation that is actually financeable
  • Redundancy architecture reviewed against cost and constructability
  • Power procurement and PPA structuring
  • Independent review of a power strategy before capital commits

The platform behind the work

Bisnexplore

Every site we screen runs through Bisnexplore, our decision platform for land, grid, and project data. It is how we move faster than a spreadsheet and a hunch.

Landowners will register acreage there. Investors and partners will track opportunities there. It is being opened to outside users.

Decision intelligence for energy development

LandRegister acreage and see whether it screens well for solar, wind, or storage.
GridInterconnection context and constraint data mapped against candidate sites.
ProjectsA live view of opportunities as they move through development stages.
PartnersWhere developers, investors, and landowners find each other.
Who we are

A new company. Not a new career.

Dr. Baktash Nasiri
Founder

Baktash has spent his career inside energy projects, on the developer side and the technology side, rather than advising on them from outside. At ABO Wind he led business and project development in Canada, a portfolio worth over $1 billion, including an integrated wind-to-hydrogen development in Newfoundland, and ran the customer engagement and RFP processes that secured offtake.

At Uniper he directed business development for a 100 MW green hydrogen project at the Port of Rotterdam, carrying it from concept through feasibility and Pre-FEED, and building the partnerships behind it. He has advocated for clean energy policy at European Parliament hearings.

On the technology side he has led global sales and business development for the hydrogen and electrolyzer businesses at Andritz and Siemens Energy, spanning European and North American markets and a portfolio above €250 million, and has run engineering and procurement processes with multiple EPC contractors on utility-scale projects. Earlier: battery storage techno-economics at Younicos, and a European research project at TU Dortmund on integrating renewables into distribution grids, the subject of his PhD.

That range is the point. Grid engineering, project development, commercial structuring, and stakeholder negotiation are usually four different people. Kinward exists because they work better as one.

Why Kinward exists
Our compass is our children's future.

Not only our own children, and not only this land. The earth every generation inherits.

I did not start Kinward to add megawatts to a grid. I started it because the choices we make building energy today decide what kind of planet we hand to the people who come after us. Everything we develop outlasts the people who develop it — a wind farm outlives the engineer who sited it, a lease outlives the family that signed it, and the earth outlives all of it.

So every project gets measured against one question. Will the people who inherit this — and the planet they inherit it on — be better for our having built it this way?

That is the reason this company exists, and it is the standard I would like us to be judged against.
